LIKAF

The Limburg Cancer Fund (LIKAF) is a non-profit association that was founded in 1988. The intention was – and still is – to financially support projects related to cancer research and care in Limburg. Since its inception, LIKAF has supported more than 20 research projects, invested in pain management, supported self-help groups and funded the start-up of care projects – such as the Erika Thijs House.In recent years, cancer research and the new clinical opportunities have grown exponentially. This evolution leads to more and new scientific insights and developments. The number of initiatives to support patients is also growing steadily.In this rapidly changing medical landscape, LIKAF wants to enable and boost new research and care projects in the Limburg area.
